I learned the rules, automated the work, then bet on AI.

01 / The foundation

Learn the enterprise.

I started on the security front line with four governance programs and no predecessor handoff. I learned the enterprise from the inside through every assessment, every audit, and every owner conversation.

02 / The multiplier

Remove the manual work.

Then I stopped doing the work by hand. I taught myself Python and automated my own job: consolidated compliance alerts, pre-filled assessments, and a 14,000-record identity cleanup. My manager’s words: the go-to person for automation.

03 / The bet

Go all-in on AI.

Mid-CISSP, I walked away from the certification to go all-in on AI. I built a six-agent governance assistant, proved what agents could do for the enterprise, and turned that proof into a role where AI innovation is the job.

I work in P&G’s global technology-innovation group, the team that discovers and activates emerging technology for a Fortune-50 enterprise. The team scouts solutions from the market; my mandate is to carry the best ones forward. I clear the governance and risk path that turns a proof of concept into something that actually deploys, and I build vetted solutions into internal products designed to serve tens of thousands of employees. I do not hand off after diligence; I own the work through to delivery.

  • Led an enterprise AI cost-governance analysis reviewed at the President level, informing a major multi-year AI investment decision.
  • Run technical due diligence on AI startups and enterprise vendors inside a high-volume innovation pipeline.
  • Translated NIST AI RMF, the EU AI Act, and 2026 model-risk guidance into a controls framework any product owner can actually use.
  • Authored and delivered “Build an AI Teammate in 30 Minutes” for the global technology organization.

The AI year

Automation became AI engineering.

This was the year I turned automation into AI engineering. I built a governance assistant with 300+ integrated knowledge sources and live operational data connectors, designed the multi-agent architecture that seeded a company-wide deployment, and documented its scaling limits so the broader team could build it right. I dropped my CISSP track mid-year to go all-in on AI, and that bet became my role.

  • Designed and built a six-agent governance ecosystem: one orchestrator, five domain specialists.
  • Integrated 300+ knowledge sources and live data connectors into a context-aware assistant that saved about 10 hours a week.
  • Ran the pilot that proved the concept, called its architectural ceiling, and shaped the company-wide successor.
  • Delivered the AI workshop that taught non-engineers to build their own assistants.
The multiplier year · Promoted

Execution became leverage.

I stopped being an executor and became a multiplier. I found the three places the team burned hours on work computers could do: assessment prep, vulnerability notifications, identity validation. I automated all three. My manager named me the team’s go-to for automation and promoted me.

  • Replaced a no-code workflow with a Python system that sends each owner one consolidated, actionable compliance email, and drove the application backlog from 41 to 0.
  • Pre-filled 56 security assessment workbooks with enterprise data: 500+ hours of productivity returned.
  • Led a 14,746-record identity cleanup, eliminating a dormant-access audit risk.
  • Stood up the team’s work-management cadence: visible backlog, weekly prioritization, clear ownership.
The foundation year

Policy became operating context.

I joined the NA Market Operations security team as the operational front line between global policy and the people who own and buy software. Four programs, no handoff, first year.

  • 52 vendor security assessments completed, 100% on time, in my first year owning the program.
  • Cleared 2,065 non-employee accounts to full policy compliance and cut open high-severity vulnerabilities in half.
  • Surfaced 13 application issues before internal audit opened its review: findings prevented, not remediated.
  • Taught myself Python and shipped my first automation: compliance gaps detected and owners notified automatically.
